The Rules Online:
- Posts to threads must not contain text that may offend other Jake members without need/cause of raising the level of intelligent debate. Offensive posts include those that contain reference (negative or otherwise) to someone's sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, political stance, religion or status. It goes without saying that any post that is harmful, threatening, tortuous, vulgar, or hateful is also inappropriate and will lead to immediate action. It is important that you do not post any comments that contain contact data that should not be in the public domain. Please also consider that posts must not contain information that connects to a legal case, status or private matter of concern, unless you are directly connected and have indemnified Jake from any connection.
- Do not post commercial advertising or plugs for your services unless they are connected to the topic. Your profile exists for you to include this information and people will find it if they require it. This extends to avoiding posts that ask other users to join any group or convert to any belief/system unless they have requested information on it. Recognizing that you have already signed up to the project, Jake will also not debate the nature of these rules.
- As this site is fully mentored by a trained and constantly reviewed team, it is important that you do not impersonate or imply any connection to the Jake Team. Feedback or suggestions for this group of people should be sent directly to those_nice_people@jaketm.com
- Profile and gallery photographs must not feature any semi or full nudity (including topless). Jake is a professional networking organisation and this policy is supported by its members.
- Finally - do not start a debate you do not wish to continue, Jake relies on you to back up your point of view sensibly and with consideration for others. Do not repeat a debate that has been published recently before unless your view has considerably changed or you feel it in the best interests of the Jake members. Where possible, if your debate is likely to offend, take it offline.
Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in the closure of threads, removal of membership (at any time without refund for previous membership experienced) and block from the offline wider network. Jake may contact you by all means published on your profile to discuss any matter of importance, we hope that you recognise that we do this in your interests and to avoid a vulgar public action.
